I live in Western Australia. I am appalled that committed Christians have not done due diligence, just followed the mandates.
Os special concern is the protection of residents in Aged Care Facilities. Especially those people with dementia.
Christians have forgotten their history when Protestantism first started. People did not always meet in buildings, they met in the open. Leaders developed from learning to address those gathered. The congregation was educated. This is how change was fought. Improvements were made.
All of these things have gone by the wayside.
Education has failed to encourage critical thinking. If this concept and our rights had been taught in the schools, perhaps we would have been awake to the Crimes being committed against humanity globally.

Sorry for the late response. It seems that the Berean Spirit has indeed been lost on much of the church; failure to be salt and light. I am concerned too about those in Aged Care Facilities. If only the church would speak out!
